Advanced Safety Systems
Aqua Icelander treadmills prioritize safety with quick-release bars, light sensors, emergency stops on both sides, and overload protection. The back and chest bars are padded with soft EPDM rubber for comfort, and all fixtures are integrated cleanly into the walls. Optional soft EPDM bumpers attach in seconds, creating an extra layer of protection for horses during every session.
Adjustable Incline
The AQI 3800 offers a customizable incline from 0–10%, creating the effect of uphill training. This setting increases the workload on the hindquarters by up to 27%, while simultaneously engaging the topline to strengthen the horse’s back and neck. The result is a more effective, well-rounded workout that builds strength, balance, and conditioning.
Variable Water Depth
With adjustable water levels up to 1.2 meters, the AQI 3800 allows precise control over training intensity. Lower depths encourage natural movement and lighter conditioning, while higher water levels increase resistance, requiring the horse to work harder. This flexibility makes it easy to tailor sessions for rehabilitation, strength building, or peak performance.

Controlled, Programmable Sessions
Experience our user-friendly touchscreen that makes operation simple and precise. Key metrics including speed, incline, water level, program duration, start/stop and reset are displayed in real time, giving handlers complete control throughout every session. The system allows for up to 200 programmable workouts, making it easy to design and save fully customized training plans tailored to the needs of each individual horse.
High Volume Water Tank
Each treadmill features a standard 1,600-gallon water tank with a quick fill system that reaches a working depth of 60 cm in just 2.5 minutes, ensuring fast, efficient operation and minimal downtime between horses. Customizable features include heated and cooled water options to suit all conditioning and rehabilitation needs.

Water Temperature Options
Ambient Water Temperature
The standard and most economical setup, this option uses natural water temperature for straightforward operation. It’s ideal for general exercise and conditioning programs that don’t require temperature variation.
Temperature Control Upgrade
Equipped with a heat pump, this system allows precise temperature adjustment between 45°F and 85°F, giving you full control over each session. Cooler settings help reduce inflammation and soothe joints, while warmer water promotes muscle relaxation and flexibility.
Cold Therapy Upgrade
Using a two-tank system, an additional chiller gives you opportunity to use your treadmill as a cold-salt water spa, with temperature on the second tank down to 35°F (2°C). Learn more on the Aqua Spa Option tab!
